New Boating Regulations Information

On January 18 1999, it was announced that proof of competency will become mandatory for all those who operate power driven pleasure boats in Canada. Boaters in Alberta are now able to sign up for courses, purchase home study manuals, or complete the challenge quiz from our registry office. Experienced boaters need only write the quiz. Once you have successfully completed the boaters exam, a "Pleasure Craft Operator Card" which is "good-for-life" will be issued.

You must pass the exam in order to receive the licence. 27 right answers out of 36 is considered a pass.
